Hong Kong Theravada Meditation Society
Hong Kong Theravada Meditation Society
Hong Kong Theravada Meditation Society Limited (hereafter 'the Society') is a charitable organization incorporated in Hong Kong and dedicated to promoting Theravada Buddhist meditation culture and integrating Buddhist teachings into daily life.
Established in 2001 by the late Ajahn Yuboon Samahito—a direct disciple of the revered Thai forest meditation master Luang Por Ganha—along with a small group of dedicated supporters, the Society has remained committed to serving the community through Theravada Buddhist teachings and meditation practice.
Over the past two decades, the Society has offered meditation classes in multiple languages, meditation retreats, short-term ordination programmes, and invited Theravada masters to share the Dhamma in Hong Kong.
Bhikkhu Khantiko (Ajahn Yiu)
Ajahn Yiu holds a Master's degree in Buddhist Studies from the University of Hong Kong and brings both academic knowledge and practical monastic experience to his teachings.
He is fluent in Cantonese, Mandarin, English, and Thai, making his teachings accessible to a diverse international community.

"Meditation is the art of balancing body and mind"
"There is nothing to want."
"There is nothing to be."
—— Ajahn Yiu
Ease-In Meditation is not a new invention. It is rooted in Ānāpānasati—mindfulness of breathing—following the classical progression of body, feeling, mind, and Dhamma. What makes it distinctive is its emphasis on two simple keys: relaxation and gentle deepening.
Rather than striving to control the mind or force concentration, the practitioner begins by relaxing the body and softening the heart. As tension releases, awareness settles on its own. No pushing, but easing. No tightening, but opening. Step by step, the mind settles more deeply, like slowly sinking into still water. When the hindrances fade and the mind becomes unburdened, unification arises by itself.
